The north region of Chile goes over the regions of Tarapacá, Antofagasta, Atacama and Coquimba. Covering a vast territory of great and imposing contrast.

The most remarkable and notorious in this region are the metal sites (copper, silver, gold, iron) and non-metallic (sodium, calcium and quartz), arqueological , natural and cultural. It is also one of the biggest fishing centers of the country. The main profitable activities are the fishing and the mine. This zone is where it can be found a great variety of vegetation .The typical vegetation are brushwood, rare trees and different kinds of herbs.
