Puerto Varas

Puerto Varas., an ancient german style city was founded in 1854 by German villagers.
It is famous for its national monuments and the architecture style from the past century.

Puerto Varas is known as the city of the roses. It is one of the most chosen city for tourism because of its landscapes and streets full of roses . The visitors will certainly find here a  wide range  of hotels and restaurants.
Puerto Varas was born when German settlers came and made their place next to Llanquihue Lake between 1852 and 1853
It is the easiest way to go to Bariloche, maybe this is one of the reason that has turned it into a popular tourist destination.

Puerto Varas is next to the Llanquihue lake, with the Osorno volcano view.
In 1934 the Grand Hotel was built, the most luxurious in the south surrounded by a wonderful landscape.
It has a lot of interesting touristic sites and patrimonial houses built by the first settlers between 1910 and 1941 and they are National Monuments since 1992 such as the Kuschel House (1915) or the Juperer (1910)
