Villa Merlo is a tourist center located on the western lap of the Sierras and at the north-east of San Luis Province. Merlo limits with Traslasierra’s towns –Córdoba procince- to the north (through Piedra Blanca brook); with Sierras Comechingones’ mountain range -that separate themselves from Valle de Calamuchita (Córdoba) - to the east; with the towns of Costa Serrana to the south and with Santa Rosa del Conlara (San Luis) to the west

Factors that allow the phenomena of a good microclimate:
Merlo’s strategic location at the bottom of the Sierras, full of minerals, with waterfalls of crystalline water in all the brooks and protected from the winds.
For being an ancient massif, the electric charge of the rocks is low, with negative ionization. The granite decomposition release oxygen atoms that become ozone in the atmosphere.
The height where the population is settled, 800 – 1000 meters above sea level, and an average temperature of 20º, combine to achieve a healthy well-being sensation.
The atmosphere shows an optimal oxygen proportion, something that is revelled in the big amount of lichens over the tree trunks. These lichens grow only in regions where there is a high presence of oxygen and no pollution.
